About the Program

Where Talent
Takes the Stage

The McKinney Boyd High School Theatre Department is dedicated to developing confident, creative, and collaborative students through the performing arts.

The MBHS Theatre Department — home of the Broadway Broncos — is a dynamic program that empowers students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills through performance and production.

Our students are involved in every aspect of theatre, from acting, singing, and dancing to technical theatre, stage management, and design. Through a rigorous and supportive environment, they learn the value of discipline, teamwork, and artistic expression.

Guided by passionate and experienced directors, the program produces a variety of performances each year, including plays, musicals, competitions, and showcases. These productions not only highlight student talent but also reflect the dedication and professionalism of our entire theatre community.
